The 30th....Part 1

For a good before picture, click here. Phase one of the big Poole switch is finished, which is our room. We made-over our bedroom. My parents bought me some paint, bedspread and shams, and the two lamps on the dresser! Most of the other stuff I had in storage from college and from rearranging our main living room area due to the presence of the EK. I must say that I love it! It feels like such a real room now! It was so bland and boring before!

I bought 8 of the picture shelves seen below for the upstairs. We only used 6 shelves upstairs, and the other two have been sitting in the attic for a couple of years. So we hung them up! I need to get a couple more things to put on them...I'm sure I could find something while shopping my house!

We changed the wood shutters to these bamboo roll ups. I know that's not the technical term, but thats what we call them!

The two lamps my parents gave us. I moved the mirror that was in the living room, to above the dresser. Check out flaming cat eyes!

The bathroom. Santa brought me a good chunk of leopard print for Christmas about 8 years ago and has been in storage. I thought it would make a good accent...and I think it turned out well!


I hope I never have to paint this house again! I'm not a real big fan of painting!!
