Thievery "Getting Real"

I saw this on a girls blog I read and thought it might be fun for yall to do...you take pictures of your house exactly how it is at this very moment...she called it Getting Real..I tag anyone who has a blog!

And then you talk about those pictures...

This is the upstairs playroom. Not too bad, a couple of misplaced balls. I guess the real kicker is the ridiculous amount of bottles on the bar. Michael and I make our own wine and beer...and this is where we clean the bottles. Looks like we are behind on that!

Those sheets on the couch have been there for months...we had a party for Michael's crew that was leaving for college and I have yet to wash those sheets.

Here is my office. It is usually trashed, and not by me. She is about 2' tall and weighs maybe 24-27 pounds...haven't been to the dr. in a looong time! That pampers wrapper has been floating around for at least 2 months. I got the code off of it and threw it away in the trash can and said little girl got it out of the trash can and it missed trash day.

Here is the "holding area." That collection of stuff on the right is in my stair basket. I usually empty it out when you can no longer pass the stairs. The rugs have been there for a couple of weeks. I changed them out to put out my fall rugs.

This is the upstairs landing. All of this stuff has been here for a loooong time. Part of it is toys, a chest I need to paint for EK, old pillow cases, computer parts, and brewing parts.

Here is the guest room aka Ella Kate's new room. It is a complete disaster. I haven't cleaned it in about a month. I keep tossing more and more stuff into it. I will explain later. It has something to do with our room too, which is a mess.

This is our room. The TV on the left, is the TV that I have blogged about. It is still broken. We are currently waiting on part no. 3 to come in. If it doesn't work, we are tossing it and getting a new one...within the year? The wardrobe looks like the mirrors are dirty, they aren't actually...its a reflection from the light. That's a new piece, we inherited it from my parents when the moved. The laundry to the right is usually there for 3 days. We don't dry all of our clothes anymore. We do it there or outside. Saves energy...and a lot too!

And a little bit more ridiculous on this side. We call it the transitional phase. The dresser on the left is going to EK, and the dresser on the right is our new dresser. Like I said before, we have wall to wall furniture.

Here is where the home brewing generally ferments. In our tub. We don't use it. Ever.

The bathroom...usually pretty clean!

The dining area, usually houses that big pink ball and the grocery cart.

The living room, this is actually on a good day. Usually she has emptied the trunk and the baskets and stuff is everywhere. We are working on getting one toy out at a time, but that is not working...yet.

The kitchen. Not too bad...random recipes, newspapers, and sippy cups. We usually stash stuff here to keep it out of little bit's hands.


Today is cleaning day.

These are also before pictures of the two bedrooms. We are going to be doing a major overhaul on ours, EK's new one, and our bathroom. Ella Kate's will be her "big girl room" and we got the new furniture which is a little more contemporary for that french toile stuff. I am getting new bedding for the 30th. As for the nursery, I am not sure what I will do with it. I may just use it as kinda a playroom for Ella Kate. I haven't decided if I want to put the guest room stuff in there, or ???

So there you have it...my house usually by the end of the week...cleaning day is Friday for me!
