At least I have been taking them though.
These past two weeks we have captured many firsts for the EK...learning how to run about at a spray park, eating corn on the cob, taking a cat nap on the kitchen rug, putting fake bows in her hair.
Yesterday I left her in the living room to put something up and I came back in and she had something blue in her hair and she was saying "bow" and I thought for a second that she ripped a bow off her shirt and tried to stick it in the "bow spot." After reviewing the situation more carefully, I discovered she had got the tape off of a coffee table book and stuck it in her hair and called it her bow. This was hilarious to me because she won't leave a bow in her hair. I keep the coffee books taped because she likes to rip things up.
My sister and I have been doing Sunday night dinners since we both moved out here 5 years ago. Now that my parents are in Collierville, they want us to do all the family dinners out at their house. Last Sunday was our first one. Michael, Dad, EK, and myself went to the spray park again, I figured it would be packed, which it was. I had to watch EK like a hawk. Anyways, we left and went back to the house to eat. Ella Kate had her first try and corn on the cob and mowed the whole thing down! Good for her!
I tell you I can't wait for fall! I keep thinking about the weather getting cooler and all the holidays and such! It will be so great with my parents here now too! Ella Kate tried on her bulldog gear from last year, one I thought might still fit, but she is too tall! I am spending Wednesdays at my parents house now. For years, Michael has done whatever he wants to do on Wednesdays, which is mainly run...and now he is doing some Orienteering thing after he runs. So we decided to do our own thing! Tomorrow we are heading to the mall and looking for her some bulldog gear!
Not much else going on this week. We are about 65% finished with stage no. 1 in the backyard. I will post pictures, whenever this thing is fixed!
