We left Saturday morning around 4:15. Michael thought they would sleep in the car. I laughed in his general direction. He slept and they talked and played in the back and kept saying how dark it was outside still. Michael was asleep as soon as we got on 385. He woke up when he felt us exit and turn around. I had missed the Byhalia exit. Oops. I wasn't paying attention. Ha! It was pretty smooth sailing. The girls watch movies and I had a few surprises up my sleeve throughout the trip. I don't do much fast food period, besides chick fil a. But when we head out of town, we look for Hardees. We love some hardees. We stopped in Birmingham for breakfast and lunch somewhere off of 65 or some other interstate.
Anyhoo, who cares about that stuff! We arrived at 30A around 2:00, in general fashion, Addison fell asleep. Last year she didn't eat, drink, or tee tee the whole trip. We headed to the grocery store and stocked up and headed to the condo, which we couldn't get in. We parked and went down to the beach and pool until we could get in. Then we unpacked and headed down!
The weather was perfect. The water was perfect. Addison walked and played in the sand. She sat down and let the waves crash over her. Good stuff. Thank goodness cause I definitely wasn't toting her around this year! EK and Addison slept in bunk beds for the week. They loved it!
Now on to the fun part...pictures...these are phone pictures. I am at my parent's house tonight (Michael is in Ark. running a race). Their internets are super slow and my camera photos are just spinning and not going anywhere.
Aunt Holly spent a good bit of the morning blowing up this raft. Here are Papa and the girls riding in the raft...
About 5 minutes later...raft down...kids everywhere.
Michael and I! Whole 30 and T25 got me into my goal...wearing a bikini! First time since I was 13 weeks pregnant with EK! A post on that later!
AC, Aunt Holly, and EK plunging into the waves!
EK continually passed out each afternoon while driving to dinner.
Aunt Holly and Michael built them a sand castle tunnel thing.
Last day, the beach and ocean were amazing. Crystal clear and calm. I have never seen it like this! We saw three sharks from the balcony. The sandbar grew huge overnight and touched the beach so we were able to walk far out in the ocean!
Addison getting in!
Isn't that spectacular!
Aunt Holly! AC bailed out on the ocean thing due to being scared of sting rays!
My fave picture!
Last dinner on the beach...we took the girls to Margaritaville!
And in typical Addison fashion...passes out on the way home, on 385.
We had a ton of fun on the beach this year and can't wait to go back next year! If you notice in these pictures and the ones I am failing at uploading, my parents are not in very many. Will touch on that later.
