Happy 18 Months!

Woohooo 1 1/2 years old today!




And what a difference a year makes! Here she is at 6 months last year!



Man that water sho looks good! Mimi and Papa might get another hotel the weekend after next for some more pool time! What fun! It wears her out too.

Let's see Ella Kate's can do list keeps getting longer and longer as the weeks roll on.

Words she can say: mom, dad, Papa, cat, ball, wow, car, corn, george, drink, milk, no, baba (blankie), uhoh, nana (banana), boo boo, doh (dog), I think there are a few more...pss (please), tank (thank you), bye bye, hi, hey, heyyo

She can say the following animals noises when asked What does a ____ say?
baaa (sheep)
moo (cow)
zzzzz (bee)
ooo ooo ooo (monkey)
nnnnnn (horse)

She can point out her head, nose, ears, eyes, mouth, teeth, tongue, elbow, belly button, feet, hands. If you tell her to fix her hair (get it out of her eyes) she swats at her hair.

She is still taking two naps a day, 8:30-10:30 or 11:00 and then 1:00 to 3:00 and bedtime starts at 6:30 and she is asleep by 6:50 and she sleeps till about 6:30 or 7:00. And yes, I will push for two naps as long as we are able. I enjoy it and she def. gets cranky if she hasn't had her sleepage. Before her naps I say nap time and she throws whatever she is doing down and walks to her room. Same with bath time!

She climbs anything and she has started running. I took her to get some books at the Arlington Library yesterday and then to the Dollar Tree to get some bubbles...and we fixed dinner and went and played in the front yard for all of 3 minutes. She got super duper excited over the bubbles and took off running and fell down and got another boo boo on her other knee. If you ask her about her boo boo she might start crying.

She is a dancing queen. She will shake it to anything...toys, Michael's guitar, commercials, music. Michael and I were watching some movie last weekend and some Jamaican music came on and off she went bouncing that tushy.

She mimics everything and anything. So we have really watched what we say around her. If you cough, she coughs.

I have started walking with her in the morning everyday and when we pass Aunt Holly's house she cries and looks back at it.

She has a nasty obsession with cell phones. Michael and I got new cell phones with work and we gave her our old ones and her collection of cell phones is now 4, but yet she will still throw a fit while we are talking on ours. She picks up the phone and puts it on her shoulder and says heyyo?

She has started kissing me...very slobbery and she can make the kiss noise. When you say hug she wraps her arms around herself.

She is EXTREMELY attached to her pink blanket from granny Annie. She will not let it out of her sight and gets upset when I take it from her to wash it...but LOVES it all warm and clean out of the dryer! She is obsessed with laundry day, she wants to pick everything out of the dryer and throw it on the floor...she really likes the hangers too!

Fruit and bread is her favorite things to eat. She is a real picky eater and sometimes doesn't eat dinner...but I REFUSE to make her something else..just for her. This family doesn't cater that way!

She follows some directions...if you ask her to put a book up, she might do it...she will put it in the basket and take it back out and bring it to you to read again.

She loves reading and books...didn't get that from me at all! She has yet to watch tv. I won't let her until she is 2 or possibly 2 1/2.

She can feed herself...kinda...with a fork and spoon. I have yet to let her have a bowl of something because I know she isn't ready yet. She has started coloring a little bit.

Luckily we are out of the everything in the mouth stage...for the most part. She loves to grab my hair and put it in her mouth. I think it has something to do with her pink blankie, she does the same thing...

Anyways...Happy 18 Months kiddo! We love you bunches!

oooo and the teeth...She has all her teeth in except her 2nd year molars! I am still in awe of that. She teethed very very quickly...all under a year minus those other molars!
